Printing Solar Panels

This is an interesting video of a company that is trying to print solar cells like you would newspaper. They are not the only ones trying this (we have featured Konarka before who hopes to do something similar), but these guys have a fun video to look at.

With the cost of silicon solar cells going down, but still high, technologies like this will push the economical scales of solar technology. Look for the cost of solar to become so cheap that everything will be coated with it in the next 10 years. And frankly with the state of the world today, this sort of technology can’t come soon enough.
