As for Al Gore, he’s the guy that made Kyoto the watered-down shadow of a climate change agreement it is; it was all part of the plan so that he would become president and sign it, looking like a hero, but actually telling no one that he actually scuppered it.

An avid supporter of industrial civilisation and a “business as usual” kind of guy. I just wish he would be honest and admit that none of his environmental proposals will make a blind bit of difference. Sorry, but that’s just the way it is.

Her 2005 presentation has been ignored and yet it is particularly timely in 2008, especially in the light of so many of the world’s major polluters avoiding their duties and responsibilties to protect human wellbeing and to preserve the integrity of Earth and its ecosystems.
