"millenarian scam"? What do corporates and politician benefit from most -- lots of greenhouse gases or hardly any? Tough question, Paulidan.

-----

80% cuts by 2050? Sorry for the bad news, but it's still not enough. 100% by 2030 is just about the slowest we can go...

Maybe the light bulb change is not such a good example. Changing to the "twistie" introduces the potential for mercury into the home. Accidently break one in your kids room and they are now above the EPA limits, requiring a HAZMAT cleanup.

This seems like a great campaign; as soon as I saw it I thought, "Why didn't I think of that line?" However, I'd really like to see more from the Sierra Club and other such orgs on energy recycling. I'm associated with Recycled Energy Development, a company that turns manufacturers' waste heat into electricity and steam. DoE and EPA estimates suggest this technology -- which is already here and doesn't need more R&D -- could reduce greenhouse emissions by 20%. That's like taking every passenger vehicle off the road. Meanwhile, costs would go down, because efficiency is rising. This should be a win-win for liberals and conservatives. The only problem is that regulations protecting utility profits make it hard to get these projects going. I'd really like to see more on this.

Let me be the first internet citizen to comment on this. Do not expect the internet audience to be a punching bag like TV viewers. They have bought hook line and sinker into your creepy millenarian scam, but we, on the internet have access to information such as this, www.spaceweather.com.

So many people without the internet would look up at that amazing orb and never think twice...
