which we could as easily made up using efficiency measures and renewable energy supplies. Note as well the vast amount of wasted energy in todays grid, we waste way more than we would produce with these new plants. Note as well that it would be 20 years before this energy would really come online.
In essence we have not built a new Nuke plant since the 70’s, and McCain really thinks that we can build 45 new ones in the next couple years? Come on, everyone who is for nuclear power doesn’t want one in the back yard. Hell we can’t even get people to build wind turbines, and they don’t produce nuclear waste.
McCain’s energy plan is a shambles and is yet another reason not to vote for him.
