Profile: I'm an American by birth but I consider myself a citizen of the planet. I’m a generalist, a futurist and I’m deeply grounded in systems thinking. I have a B.S. in Microbiology, I've worked in medical research, I've done20+ years as an analyst and computer programmer and now I've been working nine years as a nurseryman in the U.S. Pacific Northwest - at least until my wife and I immigrate to New Zealand, which is in progress. I write a Blog at www.samadhisoft.com, poetry at www.samadhimuse.com. and code and websites at www.samadhicoda.com. I am deeply concerned at the coming Perfect Storm or what E.O. Wilson calls, "The Bottleneck".

When Is Enough?
May 1st, 2009I’m a liberal – I make no bones about it.  I believe women are my equals and that people of all shades and sexual proclivities have the same rights that I do. I believe that governments should exist to serve their people and not merely to maximize opportunities for Capitalists. In short, on most questions, [...]
Freeman Dyson And Global Climate Change
April 29th, 2009Two good friends of mine have both referred me recently to articles by Freeman Dyson.  One pointed me at an article in the NY Times and the other sent me to an article in John Brockman’s site, The Edge. Both of my friends have some reservations about global climate change and they’ve directed me to [...]
